Westminster Point Pleasant and Westminster Manor are actively planning and preparing for the arrival of Tropical Storm Idalia. Manatee County has issued a mandatory evacuation order for certain low-lying areas.
We are currently preparing to evacuate beginning tomorrow. At Westminster Manor, Assisted Living residents will be relocating to Westminster Towers in Orlando. At Westminster Point Pleasant, Memory Care residents will be relocating to Poet’s Walk in Sarasota, and Assisted Living residents will be relocating to Florida Presbyterian Homes in Lakeland. Pleasant Nursing Care residents will be relocating to Westminster Baldwin Park in Orlando, Legacy Pointe in Orlando, Florida Presbyterian Homes in Lakeland, and John Knox Village in Orange City.
We will remain at our evacuation sites until advised that it is safe to return home. We will continue to follow the recommendations of the National Hurricane Center and continue to update with any new developments.
